About Voltline Electrical Co

Founded in 2009, Voltline has served over 9,400 Denver-area homes and businesses with Master-licensed electricians, written-quote pricing, and a 60-minute emergency response standard.

Modern Denver home interior with high-quality electrical lighting and EV-ready garage

Why we built Voltline the way we built it

Sam Reyes started Voltline in 2009 after eight years inside a regional electrical contractor — watching the same pattern repeat after every Denver storm: dispatchers overwhelmed by emergency calls, homeowners getting voicemail at 8pm while their breaker panel was sparking, junior techs sent to diagnose panel failures they could not actually fix, and customers being upsold on full rewires when a $400 spot repair would have done the job.

Voltline was built around three commitments: Master-licensed electricians on every permit job, written flat-rate quotes before any work, and a 60-minute response standard on active emergencies in the core service area. Those commitments have not changed in 17 years, and they are why our average customer is a multi-decade referral — the same families calling us for every panel, every EV charger, and every rewire over the years.

How Voltline grew

18 years of growth in Greater Denver, built entirely on referrals and repeat customers.

Founded on Larimer Street

Sam Reyes launches Voltline with two electricians and one truck out of a shop on Larimer in the RiNo arts district. Early focus is residential service and panel upgrades. First customers come from Capitol Hill and Washington Park referrals.

Master Electrician license + Electrical Contractor license

Sam completes the Colorado DORA Master Electrician exam and Voltline is issued contractor license EC-47183. The combination enables Voltline to pull permits directly on panel upgrades, EV chargers, rewires, and generator installs across Denver metro.

Generac Authorized Dealer status

Voltline earns Generac Authorized Dealer designation after completing factory training and reaching minimum install volume. The designation unlocks extended factory warranties on whole-home standby generators — a meaningful credential for Denver-metro storm and wildfire-PSPS markets.

First Tesla Powerwall installations

Voltline completes Tesla Powerwall installer certification and begins installing Powerwall battery storage paired with rooftop solar across Denver metro. Within 18 months Voltline becomes one of the top 5 Powerwall installers in Colorado.

EV charger boom — 1,800 installs

Tesla Model Y and Ford F-150 Lightning launches accelerate Denver EV adoption. Voltline performs 1,800 Level 2 EV charger installations in 18 months — most paired with concurrent panel upgrades for older homes.

NEC 2023 + 9,000-customer milestone

Voltline completes NEC 2023 transition training and updates internal protocols for AFCI expansion and EV-ready circuit requirements. Cumulative customers cross 9,000 across Denver, Adams, Arapahoe, and Jefferson counties.

Anna AI receptionist goes live

VantaWeb's Anna AI takes over inbound calls 24/7 — triaging sparking-panel safety calls, pre-qualifying EV chargers and panel upgrades, capturing knob-and-tube rewire scope, and routing emergencies to the on-call electrician. After-hours call capture goes from 35% to 99%; average call-to-booking time drops from 14 minutes to under 4.

Part of this city, not just operating in it

Voltline has been on Denver ladders long enough to remember when RiNo was warehouses and Stapleton was an airport. Being local is not a marketing line — it is where Sam coaches Little League at City Park on Saturdays and where Maria runs the Cherry Creek 5K every spring.

Community work is kept practical and repeatable, not performative.

Habitat for Humanity Denver partner — Free electrical rough-in and trim on two Habitat for Humanity homes per year across Denver and Adams counties. Donated materials sourced from Square D, Generac, and Leviton overage programs.

Food Bank of the Rockies annual drive — Company-wide food drive every November. 2024 drive collected 1,950 lbs of non-perishables. Every electrician participates and the company matches employee contributions.

Denver Indian Center pro bono — Quarterly pro bono electrical service for the Denver Indian Center community programs — emergency repair, lighting upgrades, and code-compliance updates at no cost.

Emily Griffith Technical College apprenticeship — Three paid apprenticeship slots per year in partnership with the Electrical Technology program at Emily Griffith Technical College in downtown Denver. Five current electricians came through this pipeline.
