About Crestline Plumbing & Drains

Founded in 2008, Crestline has served over 9,400 Atlanta-area homes and businesses with master-licensed plumbers, written-quote pricing, and a 90-minute emergency response standard.

Why we built Crestline the way we built it

Sam Reyes started Crestline in 2008 after eight years inside a regional plumbing chain — watching the same pattern repeat after every Atlanta freeze event: dispatchers overwhelmed by 2am burst-pipe calls, homeowners getting voicemail and panicking, junior techs being sent to diagnose sewer events they could not actually fix, and customers being upsold on $15,000 repipes when a $400 spot repair would have done the job.

Crestline was built around three commitments: master-licensed plumbers on every permit job, written flat-rate quotes before any work, and a 90-minute response standard on active emergencies in the core service area. Those commitments have not changed in 18 years, and they are why our average customer is a multi-decade referral — the same families calling us every time the next freeze event hits.

How Crestline grew

18 years of growth in Greater Atlanta, built entirely on referrals and repeat customers.

Founded in Buckhead

Sam Reyes launches Crestline with two plumbers and one truck out of a shop on Howell Mill Road in West Midtown. Early focus is residential service and water heater work. First customers come from Buckhead and Midtown referrals.

Master Plumber license earned

Sam completes the Georgia State Contractors' Licensing Board requirements and is issued Master Plumber license MP-210834 — enabling Crestline to pull permits directly on water heater swaps, sewer lines, repipes, and gas work.

First major freeze surge — 800 jobs

The January 2014 ice storm triggers a record freeze-emergency surge across Atlanta. Crestline handles 800 burst-pipe and frozen-line jobs in three weeks. Maria Castillo joins as Operations Director to scale the dispatch and on-call workflow.

90-minute emergency standard formalized

After watching too many homeowners wait hours during emergencies, Crestline formalizes the 90-minute response standard — backed by a written guarantee that waives the diagnostic fee if we miss the window in the core service area.

Trenchless sewer launch

Crestline adds pipe bursting and CIPP lining to the sewer service line. Within 18 months trenchless options represent 60% of full sewer replacements, preserving landscaping and hardscaping for hundreds of Atlanta homes.

9,000-customer milestone

Cumulative customers cross 9,000 across Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb, and Gwinnett counties. Team grows to 16 full-time plumbers and apprentices. First commercial backflow contracts go live with a portfolio of restaurants and multi-family properties.

Anna AI receptionist goes live

VantaWeb's Anna AI takes over inbound calls 24/7 — walking homeowners through main shutoffs, triaging sewer events from single-drain clogs, pre-qualifying water heater leads, and routing emergencies to the on-call plumber. After-hours call capture goes from 32% to 98%; average call-to-booking time drops from 11 minutes to under 3.

Part of this city, not just operating in it

Crestline has been on Atlanta crawl spaces and under Atlanta sinks long enough to remember when MARTA was the new thing and Buckhead still had farms. Being local is not a marketing line — it is where Sam coaches Little League at Chastain Park on Saturdays and where Maria runs the East Cobb 5K every spring.

Community work is kept practical and repeatable, not performative.

Atlanta Community Food Bank annual drive — Company-wide food drive every November. 2024 drive collected 2,100 lbs of non-perishables. Every plumber participates and the company matches employee contributions.

Habitat for Humanity Atlanta partner — Free plumbing rough-in and trim on two Habitat for Humanity homes per year across Fulton and DeKalb counties. Donated materials sourced from Bradford White and Moen overage programs.

Salvation Army shelter pro bono service — Quarterly pro bono plumbing service for two Salvation Army shelter locations in metro Atlanta — water heaters, drain cleaning, and emergency repair at no charge.

Atlanta Technical College apprenticeship — Three paid apprenticeship slots per year in partnership with the Plumbing Technology program at Atlanta Technical College. Five current plumbers came through this pipeline.

22 years in residential and commercial plumbing, the last 18 as founder of Crestline. Sam started the company in 2008 after eight years working for a regional plumbing chain — watching homeowners get over-quoted on water heater replacements, sold trenchless options when open-trench was the right answer, and left waiting hours during emergencies because dispatch could not keep up. He built Crestline around three commitments: master-licensed plumbers on every permit job, written quotes before any work, and a 90-minute response standard on active emergencies. Based in Buckhead.
