About Ridgeline Roofing & Restoration

DFW’s roofing company built for the storm cycle

Founded in 2008, Ridgeline has restored over 11,000 roofs across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex with RCAT-certified installers, GAF Master Elite credentials, and full insurance-claim coordination on every storm job.

Why we built Ridgeline the way we built it

Sam Reeves started Ridgeline in 2008 after eight years inside a national chain franchise, watching the same DFW spring play out every March: an out-of-state crew shows up the day after a hailstorm, knocks 200 doors in Southlake, signs as many homeowners as it can on the spot, installs $25K roofs in two days with under-spec underlayment, then disappears before the first complaint hits the BBB.

Ridgeline was built around three commitments: W-2 installers only, photo-documented evidence on every job, and adjuster-meeting attendance on every insurance claim. Those commitments have not changed in 17 years and they are why our average customer is back for their second or third roof.

How Ridgeline grew

17 years of growth across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, built on storm-response credibility and homeowner referrals.

Founded in Southlake

Sam Reeves launches Ridgeline with two installers and one truck out of his garage in Southlake. Early focus is residential replacement and storm restoration. First customers come from a Tarrant County neighbor who refers his Keller insurance agent.

GAF Master Elite certification

After three years of meeting GAF’s installation, insurance, and training requirements, Ridgeline earns Master Elite status — the credential held by roughly 3% of US roofing contractors that unlocks the Golden Pledge 50-year system warranty.

First major hail surge — 1,200 jobs

The April 2014 hail event triggers the largest storm-restoration surge in DFW history to that point. Ridgeline handles 1,200 replacement jobs in 18 months and adds Maria Castillo as Operations Director to scale the adjuster-coordination workflow.

Insurance-coordination workflow formalized

After watching too many adjuster scopes miss obvious damage, Ridgeline formalizes the same-day adjuster-meeting standard — every claim job gets a Ridgeline rep on the roof during the carrier inspection. Average supplement recoveries climb to $7–12K per claim.

CompanyCam evidence packages launched

Ridgeline becomes one of the first DFW roofers to adopt CompanyCam at full team scale. Every roof plane is photo-documented before and after install. Insurance claim cycles shorten by ~12 days on average because adjusters receive ready-made evidence packets.

IBHS FORTIFIED program adoption

Ridgeline trains its lead estimators as IBHS FORTIFIED Roof Evaluators and begins offering FORTIFIED rebuilds as a premium option. The first 80 FORTIFIED installs survive the 2023 hail season with zero claim-eligible damage on a panel that destroyed neighboring code-minimum roofs.

Anna AI receptionist goes live

VantaWeb’s Anna AI takes over inbound calls around the clock — capturing storm details, qualifying out storm chasers, and routing insurance claim calls to the coordinator queue. After-hours call capture goes from 30% to 99%. Average call-to-booking time drops from 14 minutes to under 4.

Part of this Metroplex, not just operating in it

Ridgeline has been on DFW roofs long enough to remember when Southlake had two stoplights and the Frisco Pinstripes was a cornfield. Being local is not a marketing line — it is where Sam’s kids learned to ride bikes and where Maria still coaches youth softball in Colleyville on Saturdays.

Community work is kept practical and repeatable, not performative.

Southlake Youth Sports field sponsor — Field signage sponsor for Southlake Carroll Little League since 2012. Free roof inspections at the volunteer-coached families’ homes each fall.

North Texas Food Bank annual drive — Company-wide food drive every November. 2024 drive collected 2,100 lbs of non-perishables. Every installer participates.

Habitat for Humanity DFW partner — Free roof installs on two Habitat for Humanity builds per year across Tarrant and Dallas Counties. Donated materials sourced from manufacturer overage programs.

Tarrant County College apprenticeship — Three paid apprenticeship slots per year in partnership with TCC’s Continuing Education construction program. Four current installers came through this pipeline.

GAF Master EliteRCAT #RC-04872IBHS FORTIFIED Eval.

21 years in residential roofing, the last 17 as founder of Ridgeline. Sam started the company in 2008 after eight years working for a national chain franchise and watching the same DFW spring playbook repeat: storm chasers undercutting locals, half-trained sub-crews installing $25,000 roofs over rotted decking, and homeowners signing 14-page contracts they could not read. He built Ridgeline around three commitments — W-2 employees only, photo-documented installs, and adjuster-meeting attendance on every claim. Based in Southlake.

13 years in construction operations, joining Ridgeline in 2014 after building her career managing commercial restoration claims for a regional adjuster. Maria oversees crew dispatch, storm-event routing, supplement coordination, and the CompanyCam evidence-package workflow that gets Ridgeline’s claims through carriers faster than any competitor in the Metroplex. She introduced the same-day adjuster-meeting standard. Lives in Colleyville.

11 years on DFW roofs, the last 8 with Ridgeline. Chris leads the storm-restoration crew and trains every new installer on GAF Golden Pledge nail-pattern, underlayment, and flashing standards. He has personally led the install on 1,200+ replacements and pioneered Ridgeline’s pre-tear-off decking inspection protocol that catches rot before underlayment goes down. Based in Grapevine.

The full field team

Every installer is a direct W-2 employee with RCAT or manufacturer certification. No storm-chaser subs, no day-labor crews — the same names show up on every job from estimate to final walk-through.
