Why we built StoneRidge the way we built it
Marcus Reid started StoneRidge in 2010 after eight years inside a Western NC remodeling firm — watching the same pattern repeat: customers sold designs that exceeded their budget by 40% with no early warning, hand-offs lost between the architect and the GC, historic homes renovated without HRC coordination or period-appropriate materials, and warranty claims fought over instead of honored.
StoneRidge was built around three commitments: design and build under one contract (one point of accountability), NARI Certified Remodeler standards on every project (the gold standard for residential remodelers), and period-appropriate craftsmanship for historic homes and mountain cabin restorations. Those commitments have not changed in 16 years and they are why our average client returns for a second project within 3-5 years.
