Landscape design and installation in Nashville — from bed refresh to full renovation

Homeowners who have just moved, just finished a renovation, or have a yard that has never been properly planned are sitting on untapped curb appeal — they want a professional design and a crew who can execute it without six months of back-and-forth.

Every design project starts with a site visit. We map grading, sun exposure, drainage, existing trees and screening, and your aesthetic preferences. The design plan we produce includes a planting layout with species selected for Middle Tennessee climate (zone 6b-7a), sun and water requirements that match your microsites, and a mature-size projection so the design grows in correctly.

Softscape install includes ornamental trees, shrubs, perennial beds, seasonal color rotations, and native plant corridors for pollinators where appropriate. Outdoor lighting is integrated where requested — low-voltage path lighting, accent uplighting on key trees, and entry illumination. Coordinated with any concurrent hardscape or irrigation work.

Landscape Design & Installation — common questions

Do you charge for the design consultation?
For small projects (single bed makeover, plant replacement), the consult is included. For full backyard renovations or projects over $10,000, we charge $500-$2,500 for the design plan which is credited against the installation cost if you proceed.
Can you work with my existing plants and trees?
Yes — we evaluate existing plants and incorporate the healthy ones into the new design. Mature trees are valuable; we work around root zones and preserve canopy where possible. Some overgrown or diseased plants are recommended for removal as part of the project.
When is the best time to install new plants in Nashville?
Spring (March-May) and fall (September-November) are ideal — moderate temperatures and reliable moisture let plants establish before stress periods. Summer installs are possible but require diligent watering for 6-8 weeks. We schedule accordingly.
What does the plant warranty cover?
Our 1-year replacement warranty covers any installed plant that fails to thrive when paired with our recurring maintenance plan. We replant at no material or labor cost. Damage from extreme weather, pets, or homeowner alteration is not covered.
